Summer Whites

Today's look is, by far, one of my go-to looks, especially for Summer. My love affair with bodysuits began last Summer and I remember thinking 'oh my gosh my mom used to have so many bodysuits in her closet when I was growing up, and here I am obsessed with them'. Who would have thought... Bodysuits with denim is so easy, chic, feminine, sexy, casual, so many things. I love the trend and would say bodysuits will be a pretty solid style of mine for quite a while.
Such as the bodysuit from Tobi i'm sharing details on, today on the blog. I love how flexible it is, in that you can dress it up or down. I had a lot of running around to do the day I wore it, so I dressed it more on the casual side by styling it with my checkered Vans. They are, pretty much, the most comfortable shoes I have so it was completely necessary for me to have them on this particular day.
I love an all white look, or just a neutral look in general, so I wore my trusty ol' white skinny jeans. I also gave the jeans a quick little trim, before I left the house, to achieve the raw hem look. You may know by now that i'm always cold, no matter where I go. I've learned to bring a jacket, or have one in my car, everywhere I go. Denim jackets are perfect to wear with neutrals and in the Summer. And, of course topped it all off with my gold jewelry from Stella & Dot.
Get it now, here.

There are several other color this bodysuit comes in, and i'm considering getting a couple other colors. I ordered a small, if your petite &/or have itty bittys, I would recommend sizing down. I should have ordered a XS, because I find it's  a tad large. However, how it's made and the material it's suuupppeerr easy to pin it without even noticing it's pinned.

Well I spent my morning deep cleaning NOT my bathroom, so that was fun.
Now i'm off to run what seems like a million errands before a little fish fry we are hosting at the house tonight. Hope your having a wonderful week! Crossing my fingers I will have a Budget Blooms for ya tomorrow. Until next time....

An OTS Top Every Girl Needs

Hey y'all! Hope you had a fabulous weekend. Ours was jam packed with getting things done. The things that you put off and don't ever make time for. However, it was very productive. I have a busy week ahead of me, starting off with hosting a guest from overseas. And, if you've noticed I've been slacking on consistent posting on Instagram the last few days. I have perfectly good explanation for that though. My birthday present was given to me early, and all my time has been consumed learning the new Silhouette Cameo 3 software. I'm totally stoked to have this gadget, and for my creative beans to be spilled.
All I can say is thank you Lord for YouTube. Without some of the tutorials I watched,  I would be completely discouraged trying to learn the Silhouette Cameo 3 software. I've already made some cuts for a couple t-shirt ideas I've had for a while, now all I am waiting for is my heat press, that should be here any day now, so I can get to making these shirts.

Now, to the top every girl needs...Y'all this top from Tobi is so precious. I absolutely adore it. And, it will be a timeless staple in my wardrobe. I've become a tad braver as I approach 30, and have really tried to celebrate that i'm in good shape. With that, I've started buying crop tops here and there. I have a rule of thumb though, my belly button can NOT be showing. Not because I have a weird belly button, but because I, personally, feel a little over exposed. Sounds silly, I know.  So I either buy long crop tops or would have to wear high waisted bottoms.

Buy it now here.

This top is really cropped so I styled it with my high-waist white denim skirt from Target. I'm in love with the bow detail on the sleeve. With it being off the shoulder and having bow ties, it screams feminine. I love that the style is simple enough to make it so versatile too. This top can easily be super casual or dressed up. I'm wearing a size small and would not recommend this size if you have anything more than an A cup. I have very small ta-ta's and remember thinking if my boobs were any bigger it probably wouldn't fit. I did have on a bracelet, but since the bow ties hang fairly low, I thought it was too much and I didn't want to take way front bow tie detail. Plus I knew I wanted to wear really loud earrings, that ended up being the cutest accessory and pop of color. The best part, my earrings were $7 from Sam Moon. I also almost didn't wear earrings and put on a neck scarf to accessorize it, which is another cute option.

Well i'm off to run a bunch of errands to prepare for this crazy, busy week. Check back later because i'm sharing the cutest bodysuit on MN...another timeless, versatile piece in my wardrobe. What are you up to this week? Until next time...

Lunch'n Lady Shift Dress

Happy Hump Day lovelies! It is supposed to be a beautiful rest of the week and weekend, and I could not be more happy about that. The Summer season is almost here, which means it's time to start busting out the coolest clothes you have. Pretty soon the heat and humidity here in Texas will make me want to run around with nothing on.
Which brings me to the dress i'm sharing with you today. I wore it to lunch last week with the ladies, and it is perfect for the Summer season. But first let me start by saying, I found my clothing store soul mate, and that is where this dress came from. If you haven't heard of Tobi, your fingers must run immediately to their site. They have a wide range of styles, and I love and want just about all of it.
One of the reasons why I fell in love with Tobi is because I don't have one particular style that I stick to. I feel like my style is very eclectic, so Tobi is perfect for covering all the bases when it comes to whatever style you may be looking for.

Back to the dress...The olive green is a subtle olive green, and that's why I wore my silver with it. If you know me, you know that I wear only gold, however my Mirina Collections-Ashes statement necklace went so well with it. Both the dress and the necklace, to me, make a statement on their own so I didn't go crazy with too many accessories. I also didn't want to take away from the cuteness factor of the dress, so instead of a cute pair of heels I wore my bow slides from Zara

Love it yet? Get it now here...

It was hard to decide how to style this dress for the first time. There are just way too many ways to style this dress and I'm so looking forward to wearing it again with other accessories and such.
I can't wait to share another piece from I got, that you will just die for. I think every lady needs this top in their wardrobe. Stop by MN on Friday to find out what top i'm talking about. You will NOT want to miss the goodness.
Was I right about how adorable this dress is? How would you have styled it? Hope your week is going well, until next time...

Weekend Wind Down

Heeeyy guys! Summer is here, meaning the kids are out of school, because I don't think it's officially Summer just yet. Last week was quite busy, even though school ended. I sent Cristen off on Saturday to go spend the Summer in Louisiana. But before she left, I treated her to dinner at our favorite spot, Uni Sushi. Mike was gone most of the week and all weekend fishing, so it was rather quite around here after she left. I didn't do much but binge watch Netflix. Nor did I get out much, besides church on Sunday.
I took a very short dip in the pool Sunday before the terrible weather came through. Having to worry about the weather lately definitely cramps any plans. With that being said, we've learned to not not do something because it's supposed to "rain". I sure am looking forward to the end of the week/weekend. It's supposed to be a gorgeous one! And there is a tooonnn going on around The Woodlands this weekend.
I mentioned last week that I have a few things to share on MN that I've been working on. This olive shift dress is one of them. I'll be sharing the details on it tomorrow and linking where you can get your own.
I just knew from hearing and seeing about all the peony blooms that that meant Trader Joe's was bound to have them. And sure enough, they had them and I am so excited. I thought I had missed the season because I was looking forward to getting some too early on in Spring.

Sorry my weekend wasn't anymore exciting, but it sure was relaxing. What did you do last weekend? Any fun travel plans coming up? Stop by tomorrow to find out more on the cute shift dress. Until then...
Cheers loves,
