Closet Diaries: By the Pool Look

Crazy weather this morning. Making it a perfect day to get some writing done for upcoming blog post. I love being at home and tend to dedicate specific days (1 or 2 days) during the week to run  my errands, so that I can be home most days of the week. I also like being home before 2 or 3 pm, and absolutely dread having to leave the house again once i'm home, or anytime past 3:30. I know, it may sound weird. I catch a second wind about 4 pm and I am real productive around the house, so I like being here to get things done. Looking outside now, i'll definitely be stuck inside all day. And i'm perfectly happy about that. Plus, I have a couple shows to catch up on. How has you week been so far guys?
Another beach look for Closet Diaries this week. I have a mad crush for the bohemian look lately. I suppose I always have, and in a way, i'm just circling back this style, that I used to have. Late high school, and sometime after I graduated, boho was just part of who I was. I've always been fond of that look for some reason. Now that I am older, i'm feeling a little more creative and like to challenge myself and dress up the boho style a little. I feel like I should make it more adult-ish for it to be appropriate. Perfect timing to start experimenting too, because Coachella is around the corner. Although i'm not going to Coachella, there should be an abundance of options to accomplish the  bohemian look at retailers everywhere.

I actually wore this exact look (minus the clutch) last summer and received compliments every time. We moved into a house with a pool in the Spring of last year. So summer of last year I purchased a couple one piece swimsuits that were my go to suits. This is one of them. I actually loved it so much I considered buying another one. Both the skirt and suit are from Forever 21. The skirt is now perfect to throw on top of a one piece suit to go run a quick errand if you've already  been out by the pool. That and the skirt is pretty much ruined from not thinking clearly and wearing on the infamously nasty streets of New Orleans.

I saw this clutch on sale from a girlfriend's Stella & Dot page and immediately knew I needed it. That Tulum, Mexico beach vacation i'm dreaming of, this clutch will be perfect for that trip. I was inspired by GiGi of New York and had my clutch monogrammed with my initials. I love the GiGi bags and their subtle monogramming that do on their bags.
My gold flip flops i've had for a few years now. They were one of many Hautelook purchases. I had actually forgot I had them, and just found them right before we went on our spring break trip, so it was almost like I got a new pair of flip flops.

Clutch: Stella & Dot old

Who else is ready for a Mexico (or anywhere with dreamy beaches) beach trip? Today's weather has me really day dreaming over here. Any plans to look forward to for the upcoming weekend? We are having a crawfish boil and I'm going to try out my "crawfish boil bar cart" idea. I've been waiting for this boil so I can try it out and share the details with you! I should have a new Budget Blooms up for you tomorrow. And, I have you know, I only spent about 10 bucks this week on the flowers I have around the house.
Cheers loves,
