Endless Possibilities

Oh the endless possibilities I have with the pants. I was so excited to get these pants in the mail today. Last week when I attended the grand opening of Luxington Boutique in Houston I tried these on and about died, they were so cute on. Luxington is super chic and she has some awesome pieces in store right now. With Fall around the corner, I know even more adorable items will be in store. The one thing I love about these pants, besides the fact that they are very, very comfortable, is that they give me length in the legs since they are high waisted. Another really awesome fact about these pants is that I can wear sooo much with them. You will definitely be seeing a lot of these pants by Elliatt on the blog. Crop tops came to mind for me when I tried them on, which is why I grabbed this old crop top of mine from the closet today to shoot in. I think I may have to add a couple more crop tops to my shopping list just because of these darling pants. Next time your in the area, stop in Luxington boutique - 1700 Post Oak Blvd. Suite 2-170 Houston, Texas 77056. Let me know what you think of that tres chic boutique!

Cheers guys,

Creator, Owner, Director, Of My Blog.

Could it feel anymore like a Monday? This rain and the cloud cover is not helping. I'm most definitely ready for cool fall weather. I made this shirt a few weeks ago and wore it to the blogger crawl in Market Street - The Woodlands, but never got to take some photos in it to blog about. For that event I dressed it up with some black strappy heels. Today, not so much. First of all, my hair is dirty, so no styling was going to happen, and second, it's raining so sneakers are most appropriate. I think I prefer the heels with this skirt, in particular, because it gives me more length in the leg department. Next time I will be sure and wear a shorter skirt if I wear sneaks, because I am looking super short! Which I am already in real life. I'm only 5'3, so I don't need to accentuate that. With that being said, it's a super comfy outfit for this yucky weather.
Like I said, my hair needs washing, so I threw it in a bun and added my ever so reliable bandanna. I don't think I wear bandanna's enough. I feel like they are slightly underrated. They are great alternatives, if you have messy hair. to wearing a hat. Don't get me wrong, I love hats, but I was feeling the bandanna today.
If you have visited my blog and noticed on the home page to the right, under 'Ashley Lewis', there's a brief statement about me. Creator, Owner, Director, of my blog is the first sentence. I thought how cute would that be on a shirt, so I had one of my talented besties make it for me. I took that thought a little further and made quite a few of the shirts to sell. Love the shirt? It's your lucky day... This shirt could be yours for $25 (plus shipping), if your local I can deliver. Contact me by visiting the 'About' page on the blog. Hope to see you wearing this shirt soon!

Cheers guys!

Blazer & Blush

Yes, I do feel fabulous when wearing this blazer. It's rather risky wearing white but nothing could have stopped me from purchasing this jacket. I've always been a sucker for blazers and have been wearing them for a few years now. I love dressing them with super casual looks. I've been on a mission to stock up my closet with a grey, navy, and white blazer. Now I can scratch off white on my list. The fit could not be any better. One would think I had it tailored to fit me, but I didn't, I just got lucky that I found one that fit so well. J.Crew is having an awesome sale on their summer styles, and this happened to be one of those items. I know, it's hard to believe a jacket, such as this one, would be considered summery here in Texas. Just like my blue jean coat, I have a bit longer until I can wear it. Although, I will say it came in handy the other day the first time I attempted to shoot this look when it was raining. The rain was a little chilly so when I ducked into Uni Sushi to stay dry I definitely needed to wear this blazer inside. What am I talking about? I am always cold, so I probably will be able to wear it sooner than I think.
I have been drawn to the blush color this year and I am predicting the blush, rose, raspberry color will be on the runway during NYFW. Want to bet? It is the perfect fall color. So when I came across this top at Francesca's I knew I had to have it. Seeing as it will be warm outside for a while, it was the perfect top to wear for Fall because its almost like a sweater, but sleeveless, and is very airy. When the weather cools down all I will  need is to throw on a blazer or jacket and it will be Fall suitable. The top came in either one or two other colors that I am tempted to go back and buy. They are having a buy 1, get 1 half off sale on their tops, so why not? These jeans were pretty much exactly what I needed and I believe they were having a sale on their jeans also. I would like for them to be a little more of an ankle pant rather than pants, but that's an easy fix. All I need to do is roll them up a couple times and they will be considered ankle pants. They are so comfortable and i'm happy with the fact that they don't bunch too much at the knee. Because I am so short, that is such a problem for me when buying jeans. Do you like wearing blazers? What do you think about the current blush color trend? Your thoughts are always nice, so leave a comment and let me know what you think.

Cheers guys,

Get Ready For Fall Ya'll

As much as I wasn't ready, my wardrobe has transitioned to Fall. Ok well not 100%. Let's be real, it's still way hot in Texas and we probably have a while until I can get use out of this awesome blue jean jacket I got from J.Crew while on my little shopping spree. Even though I can't justify wearing it yet, it was a much needed staple piece for my closet. I've had my eye out for the perfect blue jean jacket for a couple years now and I got lucky when I came across this one one sale at J.Crew. This will definitely be a repeat offender on the blog so hopefully you won't get sick of it. Did I mention it was on sale? It was on double sale actually. The price tag was marked down and at check out I got an additional 40%, so I snagged this for under $100!

I love the off the shoulder look but, for me, it's really hard to find one the fits right. They usually are to big and don't sit right on my arms. This hunter green off the shoulder top was the perfect fit and made to not slide back up to my shoulders. It was also on sale. Kind of. Francesca's being an awesome store like it is had buy 1, get 1 50% on all of their tops. That made this top, which is a perfect fall color, about $19! What a steal.

I also lucked out at Madewell. I was in the market for some new gold rings and found exactly what I wanted there. The rings are perfect for everyday, casual attire. I can tell they will be worn a llooott. My trendy shoes were less than $40 at Em&Lee, only because I brought back my reusable Em&Lee shopping bag, which gave me $5 off my total purchase. Can't beat that, so don't forget to bring your bag back next time you shop at Em&Lee. Although it feels no where near like Fall, it is approaching, and I am prepared. Have you made the Fall transition yet?

Ready. Set. Shop.

Hello beauties...and Monday.. Last week and weekend were very eventful, but also productive. Last Wednesday was the 1st 'Blogger Crawl' event at Market Street - The Woodlands. Although it was raining, I had so much fun and happened to be a very lucky gal that night. For the first time I won a prize. And what a prize it was, a $500 gift certificate to Market Street - The Woodlands. I could not believe I won and was in complete and total shock for a good 24 hours. The rain had let up for a good amount of time for Saturday, which is when I went on my little shopping spree. We finished the spree right in time for the down pour, and popped in Cru for a carafe of mimosa's to stay dry. For Mike's sake, I did go Friday and scope out a few places so that I could get an idea of what I wanted to spend the rest of my gift certificate on. Not to mention I had to buy some gear to go on my shopping spree...duh. Lululemon was my very first store I used my gift certificate at. I wanted to be comfortable and prepared to do a lot of exercising, because shopping is exercise right? What better place to buy exercise gear than Lululemon? The pants are seriously the most comfortable workout, exercise, whatever you want to call it, attire I have worn. The fit was so perfect, I almost felt as if I didn't have anything on. They were literally like a second skin! I am totally hooked and will be back for more. After I processed that I had won $500, I knew right away I wanted to try and get the most out of my prize. The 'Inspire Tight II' mesh pants from Lululemon were a little bit of a splurge, as far as "getting the most", but I had no doubt I needed them. And the 'Dash and Splash' hat, I love. I have been wearing hats quite a bit, specifically because I don't like too much sun on my face because I have freckles that will just, boom, be there. This black hat was perfect for most everything I wear and is so casual, and sporty, yet chic. It wicks sweat (like most of their items) the hat floats, and is UPF 50 to help protect your face from the brutal Texas sun rays. I got home and noticed on the tag it says "a lightweight hat designed to take you from your 5k run to your paddleboard", a sign, that this hat was meant for me. If you know me, you know I have a paddleboard and that I love to go paddleboarding. I don't get to do it enough but maybe I will now that I have this hat. Make sure you subscribe to Market Street - The Woodlands, I will be a guest blogger, blogging more about my shopping spree. I am so excited to get a post together about Saturday's spree and can't thank Market Street enough for asking me to be a guest blogger. Until next time...
