Poolside Essentials

Happy Friday! I had the rare opportunity to hang out with Mike today, and more family, by the pool all day. It was a very relaxing and peaceful day and it did not feel like a Friday whatsoever. I took the time to photograph some of my poolside essentials. Most of this is a must have when i'm out by the pool. One of my favorite things to do is read a good book inside the pool. If you look closely you will notice the book I am currently reading is from the library in Houma, Louisiana. I think i'm still surprised I was in a library recently. I can't remember the last time I visited one. However, desperate times call for desperate measures. That translates into, I was in Houma with Mike while he was working and had no vehicle to get around town, and the only thing near the hotel is a library. I love reading so, what the heck. The book "Sweetbitter" by Stephanie Danler, this far, is good. At this point it's just a story. It's not really any specific genre. I can't really relate to the main character but, on that note, I understand her. Young wine enthusiast may enjoy reading this book, there could be some wine trivia answers in it. And I definitely get a sense of appreciation, in some way, for servers, waiters, and all people who work in the restaurant industry. I'm about half way through, so that's about all I have gathered. I like looking at magazines pool side, sun screen is nearby to reapply, and music is always playing on my phone. I keep my lips moisturized with Aquaphor and stay hydrated with water. Water is even more drinkable with my cute MN koozies. What are some of your poolside 'must haves'? Hope everyone has a fun and safe weekend! Come back next week to see what's in store. Cheers!
