Body Boost Shake Recipe

I made this shake the other day because I was craving chocolate and banana together, very weird for me,  but I also really needed some greens in my diet. One of my favorite Neal's Yard Remedies products is their SuperFood Organic Greens Complex. Like many superfood greens, it comes in powder form. Just from my experience, this particular product doesn't make shakes or smoothie taste too earthy, if you know what i'm saying. It also provides the right amount of nutritional intake one's body needs. It's gluten/dairy free and vegan/kosher friendly. Not only can you use it for smoothies and shakes but also to bake with or sprinkled on top of salads and such. Not quite sure where the banana craving was coming from, I took it as a sign my body needed potassium or something. I used Organic Cacao Powder, which is also considered a superfood, to satisfy my chocolate craving. Cacao Powder is rich in magnesium, fiber, and antioxidants such as flavanols and polyphenols. Kind of awesome if you ask me, it is chocolate after all. From there I added things that would compliment one another. For example, I added about 1/3 cup of plain non-fat greek yogurt to the shake. Usually when I eat plain greek yogurt I add honey and cinnamon. So I added 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon and lavender honey to the shake as well. The shake was refreshing and just the energy boost my body needed. I had it this morning before my walk and decided to add some cayenne pepper, which was not bad, and I definitely felt more energetic this morning than I usually would. There's nothing like blending a bunch of your favorite things and blending it up! What do you do for a body boost?
